April, May, June?

Thanks

April, or late March.

UVA announces May 1st.

May 1st ---

I am so nervous and it stinks that we have to wait that long; I wonder if May 1st is the latest we can find out or of they mail them all out together.

Are you kidding me??? May 1st? Why so late? The freshman applicants will be informed tommorrow.

I think the admissions office waits to complete and review ALL of the freshman applicants before even starting the transfers....stinks but true

That does suck, and so few transfers are accepted... I think the admission falls around 32%.

Yeah but 600+ apply. The freshman application class is something like 20K, so they really do take up until the end of March to make decisions, print, fold, stuff, and mail decisions. They've probably already started reading transfer applications, but that's 600+ in 20 business days. That's A LOT of reading, and that doesn't even leave room to print, stuff, and mail the letters. They're moving as quick as they can, trust me. I know the wait sucks, but April will fly by, I promise.

I believe 2200ish applied this year. They admit 600-800 (guessing) a year (some number like that at least).

That only helps my point...

I wasn't trying to refute your point, just adding more information about the process.

i don't think shoebox was being defensive just there. ;)

Just as some of our staff members have spend the month of January processing first-year documents and contacting students for missing credentials so we can read their applications, the month of March is spent processing transfer documents and contacting students for missing credentials.
