Could those who received an honors invitation share their stats? Mine is disappointed not to see anything in the portal.
@teddy10143 congratulations! UVM released their honors college invitations via the online portal on 1/14. Perhaps that is what you are seeing. And they said they mailed the invitations yesterday. Call the office if you’re still uncertain though- they can help you know for certain.
@DCmamma
95.5 unweighted average
1530 SAT
8 AP classes
Also received full Presidential Scholarship
@BreezeEaze So, that message on the portal is definitely an invitation to Honors College?
ACT: 33, 4.0, 10 AP’s, 20,000 Pres Scholarship
awesome thanks! ACT: 32, APs: only 4, but the schools I went to make it only possible for me to take 1 AP class until I got to my senior year, and I’m now taking 3 since I’m able to, and doing well. 20k pres scholarship. 3.91 GPA. major: Animal science in CALS (maybe that made it easier for me? idk everyone’s stats seem higher than mine and this is the only reason I can think of about why)
My son got an envelope from the honors college in the mail today. He’s not home yet to open it but I’m assuming it’s his invitation. Stats are SAT 1520, gpa 3.9uw/4.5w
I got my honors college letter! sats 1500, gpa 3.6 or 4.1, neuro major
The “hack” was correct - my D received the Honors College invite in the mail today. 1560 SAT, 100+ W GPA
Just got my Honors College letter!! VT Native, 34 ACT, straight A’s (schools GPA is wack), 5 AP’s
got my honors college invite letter today! my stats are on the previous page. So yah, I think the little "hack"is right and shows if you got in
D Accepted with 4.3 unweighted GPA and 30 ACT. Hard classes but not crazy like one of the local high schools that require students take a full load of AP from Freshman year. Her high school did not offer Honors or AP until Sophomore year, but seminar classes and excellent teachers so she was fortunate. Did do the Humanities Intensive Path with requires a Capstone project. Research assistant summer intern last summer for writer publishing a historical book to be released next year. Dedicated to same sport for 13 years. Plans on continuing sport in college but it is a club sport so she was not recruited. Did receive Sportmanship Award last year. Part of literary club, ethics bowl. Undecided major into the College of Arts and Sciences and just received letter to attend Honors College (1/18/19). Honors reception showed as a visiting day option in the portal when registering for an admitted student day a couple weeks after the first acceptance letter to College of Arts and Sciences,912/15/18) but before official letter offering admissions to the Honors College. Out of State applicant. Received Presidential Scholarship for 20K a year.
yes
No honors invite but accepted to Arts & Sciences with $18K scholarship. OOS, SAT 1330, GPA 3.6 (UW), 4.2 (W).
Honors college invite! 1500 SAT, w gpa about a 4.1 and the $20k scholarship
@oscar63 it is hard to say that it is “definitely” an invitation as I can’t see the portal myself. From chatting with UVM, I know that only the top of the top students were invited- but that they will continue to send out HC invitations through the end of March.
@BreezeEaze Thanks, it was an invitation to Honors.
Anyone know when decisions come for those whom were deferred?
Did anyone on here apply for UVM’s Simon Family Scholarship? If so, have you heard yet?
@JBSeattle 5PM EST on February 22nd via the online portal.
