This is probably more of a questions for an admissions counselor, but I got accepted as a transfer student to UVM with a 2.9 GPA. My grades this semester are not as good as last, and I’m worried that my if GPA drops too low my admission could get rescinded. (my grades as of now are an A, two Bs, and a D). I’m mainly worried about the D and how low it could drop my GPA, and also how bad failing the class would look. Any advice would be greatly appreciated, especially if you’ve maybe been in a similar situation.
Defiantly DO NOT fail a class when you are trying to transfer. Try to get it up to a c, but even if its a D you should be fine with the other three grades. I’ve tried transferring into numerous schools in the past few months, and it has been absolute hell. Even though my grades are A’s, like straight A’s, I’ve been rejected because of the multiple F’s I’ve had in the past. Even if you have to drop the class, do not fail it.
