I don’t know if I’m looking at the right website. For Business it says: 20 VLPA, 20 I&S, 20 NW, Eng comp 5 cr, 2 courses for additional writing, no language, and some other calc classes for math.
It seems to me that I finished my I&S and NW, and 2 more courses to finish my VLPA. I also finished my Eng Comp. Just need to finish Additional writing
Good thing I don’t have lang requirement. I will take 1 French class for interest but I can’t keep up with 3 of them. lol
@linnearrr , since March 12th, I’ve received 5 “UW Safety Notification of Criminal Incidence” messages and they all started with “This message is being sent to all faculty, staff and Seattle campus students with the approval of the UW Police Department.” I think that its just sent to everyone with a UW email, regardless of what campus they attend, and that’s how it ends up being worded. Either way, its kind of scary that there’s so much crime at/near the UW campus :o
Oh wow. I never imagine it would be that way at UW campus. I looked safe to me whenever I visited. That’s scary
The guy also admitted to selling drugs earlier in the day, so I’m not super surprised he was then robbed at gun point… In my experience, the Seattle area is not anymore dangerous than any other big city.
^ Yeah, you’re right. All big cities come with crime. Its just a matter of staying as safe as possible.
Also worth noting, these robberies are generally not on campus in the sense that it is happening in red square, but on the seattle roads that surround the campus. 12th and 45th isn’t exactly the nicest place to hang out by yourself at midnight.
Just be careful!
Where do some of you plan to live if you got into UW? On campus or off campus housing?
I would probably live outside the city because it is slightly cheaper. Im trying not to plan in case i jinx it lol
@julietjuju3 I think I would stay on-campus. But I will see if I can find any roommates for an apartment close by.
People say renting and sharing with roommates is always cheaper than college housing. I don’t know how true that is for UW
@dallycpoz I am trying so hard not to plan anything or research stuff. I don’t want to jinx myself. But I just can’t help it.
I’m the same way. I plan excessively and when things don’t go through I always get extremely disappointed. So i’m trying not to plan as much until I know for sure that UW accepts me. Don’t want to jinx anything but also want to be prepared because I know there won’t be much time for us transfers to really think about where we live with how little time we have left.
I have a “unique” situations so I’d have to live in the UW apartments. I’m hoping Commodore Duchess!!
I’m hoping for Cedar, but I don’t know how hard or easy it is to get into an apartment on campus for a new transfer student since we find out if we got in so late.
I think it’s first come first serve, and may also depend on your situation. I’m a homeless student, so essentially, no school = no roof
So when are we going to be let know of whether we got in or not? Also add me on fortnite.
I was really hoping someone…anyone would be notified today since notifications started going out on April 26th last year…sigh …the wait drags on.
@UWtransfer2018 I was hoping the same. I’ve been checking like a crazy person all day and… nothing.
@UWadmissionstaff when will the earliest notifications come out!?
I’m submitting an SIR to University of Oregon while I wait for UW-S and I got these dates for an introducktion and they have dates from June-August… do you think if I do it in late July the decisions will be out? That way I can withdraw and get a refund from UO? Or should I just do the first date available bc some people didnt hear back until August
I think all of the decisions should be out in July or May. Since they said that it would be May-July this year. Not August like last year.
Are you sure UO is refundable? Most universities have non-refundable deposit fee.
