@Aparna98 yeah more or less they are the same with the same earning potential :))) thanks for the positivity lol i just like hardware. and i have a 3.86 GPA, over 150 credits at my current community college (in state), lots of hackathons/extra curriculars, female (pacific islander if it matters), and i’m 20y/o
@cercit20 When I was accepted, the major I was given was Computer Science because I put “Computer Science and Engineering” on my application as first (and only) choice, but once I was in the program I was able to change to Computer Engineering without any trouble, literally just filled out a form at my A&O appointment with my advisor and that was that.
@uwcse2020 thank you for all of your advice previously ^^ (i’m not sure if you remember!) I AM soo thrilled i was accepted lol. It was my first choice. & that is good information because i would prefer computer engineering over computer science.

Hey so I recently registered for the orientation for new students - the most recent spot available being for July 30th isn’t that a bit late? I’m afraid I won’t be able to get into the classes I need to take.
@akoopa44 I have my orientation on July 9, and I was worried about that too being that I am applying for a capacity restrained major and need to take two pre reqs within the major before I can even apply. I spoke to an advisor and she told me that they hold spots in classes for transfer students, because we all register so late.
I really hope they get back to some more of us… my second choice starts orientation really soon.
