Hi,
I know acceptance rates aren’t everything and that they tend to vary year by year and that bioengineering is a really new kind of science. However, I am still wondering what the average acceptance rate is for direct admission into the UW’s bioengineering program. The website states that about 12-15 students are admitted annually, that seems like nothing :O, so maybe not many apply directly because, like I mentioned earlier, it is a really new science. Thus, (maybe) not many people know a sufficient amount of info about the subject to know if it interests them enough to major in the field…but still UW is ranked highly among other US colleges for bioengineering and the facilities/labs are beautiful…and although being new means less information accessible it also means that bioengineering is incredibly sexy in this time and age. What I’m looking for is data sheets or just any information (not available on the website) regarding UW direct admissions rates into bioengineering and any experience stories regarding the program. Thank you!!
