My son was deferred and his still says deferred. We have B last name (reading more into the unknown) in case you thought maybe it was alphabetical.

I am a direct admit to the Business School. OOS

I got an email that I have not been selected for the Early decision Chancellor’s Scholarship and the Powers-Knapp Scholarship. I was deferred to the regular decision pool. The regular scholarship decision will be available in April.

Does UW send acceptance packages like other unis?

My Freshman did not receive an acceptance package after admission last year. I think the goodies come once admission is accepted. My Freshman received a booklet for admitted students’ next steps, there was a swag bag in the room on dorm move in day (think it was a planner, a cup & some other things), then was given a t-shirt before Convocation, there was a also an opportunity at the book store to sign up & get a free t-shirt for student & parents during move in. SOAR (orientation) was virtual this last summer so I imagine when it is in-person there would be some type of swag given?

For those deferred EA, when you enter your mid year grades (finally got them Friday), did you also include the letter of continued interested within the text box?

The fact that you are entering your grades is itself a sign of continued interest. I would recommend using the box to highlight any achievements, honors or awards in curricular or extracurricular fields since you submitted the application.

i entered mid year grades only but accidentally submitted without checking that you could also enter updated activities—would it be a good idea to send more details to admissions office? they said you can’t edit the comment box after submitting

Our son also into Kelley with $36k and just got into Madison DA but wait listed for DA to the business school. Does anyone know if they look at additional information and when the wait list for business school decisions are made?

Agreed. You can also send a LOCI to admissions.

DS got it. All admitted Letters & Sciences admits are invited to apply. It was addressed properly, down to his nickname, which he entered on the Common App. You better check her acceptance letter - imagine if it’s addressed to you :rofl:
