Thought I’d start a discussion for Fall 2018 transfer.
As of the end of this summer, daughter has about 3.8 GPA, 39 credits from another Big 10 school. I think she will need to transfer to Letters and Science first before going into Business college. What are her chances?
Your daughter will need to complete a minimum of 12 in-residence credits at the University of Wisconsin–Madison before she can apply to the Wisconsin School of Business. To obtain these in-residence credits, she would apply to UW–Madison first, and then apply to the Wisconsin School of Business in the spring semester. Contact an advisor and they will guide you through the process.
Is she in state? This could play a factor in her decision. However, her GPA is wonderful. If she keeps it up and is involved on campus and writes compelling essays in her application, I don’t see why she wouldn’t get into L&S.
