UW Madison Undergraduate is Rhodes Scholar!

<p>UW</a> undergraduate Alexis Brown named Rhodes Scholar (Nov. 20, 2011)</p>

<p>Wow that’s impressive. I actually met her at one of my programs. She also won the Wisconsin Idea Fellowship for volunteering…</p>

<p>Note she is an out of state student: Algonquin, Ill. Also congrats to the small 1 woman office that was created at UW to help with these types of awards. I am sure she is just elated.</p>

<p>UW is a draw for top Illinois students, despite U of Illinois being another top public U. Wonder if she would have done as well there… UW had another finalist for this region. The professor’s comments about her show her to be an exceptional individual, good for UW she chose it for college and good for her UW was able to nuture her talent.</p>

<p>Good to see the UW Rhodes drought come to an end.</p>
