UW and U of Rochester are two my final choices. Actually I got waitlist off from U of Rochester
I am going to study business course. There is no business major in UR (only graduate) but there is in UW. However, I heard about that the first 2 year general education courses in UW are taught by TA, no professors at all. And there are probably 200 people together having classes. Is that true? Actually UR has cluster system which let students to choose course freely(no general education), but because UR has no business major in undergraduate, I have to put most of my concentration on economics. I don't like this!

And I consider that seattle is a better place to live. And the tuition fee in UW is much cheaper than UR.

Anyone can give some suggestions? thanx!

It sound like you want UW, as you like the location more and they have the major you want. There is a lot of flexibility with GE’s, many GE’s are taught by professors, and UW is cheaper. However, UR has its perks, but UW seems to have more. Really, its your choice.

um… Actually, I am going to transfer to another University (like cornell and Michigan Ann abor) in my second year. Which one might make the transition easier for me…I mean which one can make my GPA score be capable enough to go to another school. Cuz I am an international student, it is very difficult to transfer…

Your GPA score will be capable at both schools, where you go (between those two, Rochester and UW) won’t matter, what will matter is how well you do. If you want to go to Michigan, UW will be better as they are both large schools, maybe Rochester fr Cornell but I don’t think it’ll make a difference. Besides, maybe you won’t want to transfer if you really like UW or U of R!

hey, i picked rochester over UW and am considering business aswell, you can always go to Foster for gradschool. I will miss seattle so much next year, but i think rochester offer’s a more personalized education.
