Hi, international student here. I was admitted to UW Seattle and UC Davis. However, UW Seattle did not offer me direct admission to CS while UC Davis has. I’ve heard that CS in UW is very competitive and you need a GPA of around 3.8. Which one is more worth it to apply to go for CS? Please tell me the pros and cons of attending each school (I don’t mind the difference in tuition fees since I’m an intl student).
PS. If I’m admitted as Pre-Science in UW, is it possible for me to pursue an engineering major if CS doesn’t work out for me?

I’m also an international student and have a similar concern too… 
It is very hard to get into CS at UW Seattle if you are not direct admit into department. The department advisors are clear and transparent about this. I believe Electrical engineering is also competitive. Comp Engg. is same as CS, they are in same department.
As an International, you probably have the least preference when it comes to major choice. Doesn’t mean it cannot be done; many have.
UC Davis is fairly solid program and if you interested in CS you should strongly consider it.
