The decisions should largely come out this month for sure. If you look back at the past threads this is the time folks started getting letters, seeing their unofficial load, etc. I suspect we will hear from a lot of folks over the coming days.
@thunald If you applied to arts&sciences then you chose an intended major. Most of the majors in that college can’t declare until their second quarter at UW. I don’t believe that speeds up or delays your admission decision. I know the universities around me have a system: priority students > least competitive majors > most competitive majors. It doesn’t look like UW has a specific system other than which colleges begin to be notified before others. Seems a little bit random to me, especially after reading through last years thread. It could take until mid July until you are notified.
@Cole52 I think you mistaken me for someone else. I applied to UW general admission with Foster as number one choice and design school as number 2 choice. However I have not applied for Foster school of Business yet. But I understand your point of how it could be random. I mean I know people who applied directly majors and already gotten their rejection letters before June even. I wonder if the fact that we all haven’t received it could be good? As I would assume they would get rid of the rejections first?

I would think that the UW would process both the rejections and the acceptances in the same batches. I just hope that they get the ball rolling soon on this, as the folks that do get rejected have to make other plans and time is not unlimited for those other plans.

-Major: Microbiology but I still need to “apply” to the major because it is a minimum major so I just need to confirm with the academic advisor of the department that I have all of the requirements met.

@washington45 Has that always been the error message that has been showing up or did it just change? Cause I’ve been getting a 500 internal sever error for weeks.
It changed from the 500 internal server error to this… I’m freaking out.
Is it a 404 or a 503? Not that I’m positive what those correspond to in this specific context, but they do mean different things in a general internet error sense.
It says “Personal Services- Unavailable. The Personal Services are not in service at this time. Please try again during normal operating hours.”

Yeah actually mine did that for a hot minute too, and the front page was different as well-- but now it’s back to normal. UGH. This blows.

@washington45 I feel the same way…like I knew it mattered a lot to me whether I got in, but I didn’t anticipate how neurotic I would be about when I would be finding out. Cole52 has got the right attitude --glass half full.
@Cole52 same… I find it very unfair that they make it so difficult for out of state transfers! and @decayedsyllables I know! I feel crazy for obsessively checking.
