@chrisb33 It’s forreal, Congrats! Guess the bio batch has…hatched. < Wow I’m a total creeper for just checking to see what major you were in case it was same as mine…WHAT IS THIS TURNING ME INTO?
Yeah, never heard of it not following through! Congrats @chrisb33 – shed happy tears!
Seems like everyone is getting their decisions! Congrats to those that do and hopefully we all get those!
So it really does seem to be in groups according to department: Public Health, Foster, and Bio seem to have heard, and non-CSE engineers have to wait till July-- what all are people waiting to hear from still?
@JWRinPNW it might mean you are admitted? congrats! btw what’s your major?
@Cole52 @decayedsyllables Thank you guys. Still haven’t got anything… sigh…
Psychology, but I’m on out of state 4 year transfer. I’m not sure if that has anything to do with it
Mine is Integrated Social Sciences - Online. That group’s director already responded to me last month stating that they will be notifying people in June. As of now, I still get error 500 on my transcript, so I will keep checking.
Someone mentioned they werent clear on the difference between a 404 errror (file you requested not found by the web server), and a 500 error (server error that was not handled by the web code, i.e. looked for student and found no results in the DB). Whomever that was, now you know roughly what the two mean.
@decayedsyllables Just to clarify, I heard from Public Health a month or so ago but I haven’t heard from general admissions yet. My unofficial transcript still shows the 500…
Same with me too, I applied to general admission but put Foster as my number one choice, but I havent applied to Foster yet. Still getting 500 message
Chin up all, we should see a bunch of fresh accepts rolling in anytime now!
@washington45 Based on what other people have said, I think being out of state could delay your letter, but not your transcript.
@CallMeADawg Yeah I was saying that I wasn’t positive about what those meant in terms of the context of his UW admission, I know what the error codes actually mean (if I didn’t I might want to look at a new major haha). Either way, the only reason I thought it was significant was cause at first it seemed like it was just his, but that turned out not to be the case. Thank you though, it was a good explanation
@SeattlePea Oh my bad, weren’t there other PH people though? And that would be like super messed up if they accepted you into the department but not the school. I know it happens, but it’s pretty rare right?
@washington45 Many oos transfers didn’t find out until the end of June or beginning of July last year. I remember the majority was not admitted. I believe oos CC transfers is somewhere around 15-20% because priority goes to the in state students. Also, our apps take longer because they have to see how many of our classes are actually transferable, where as Washington CCs it is a lot easier to figure out. I had a friend who was admitted but did not attend since UW wanted him to retake so many classes.
Yo,
I am also getting the 500 message. Any Pre Health Sciences majors out there?
Had my unofficial transcript load sometime between 1pm and 5pm PST today. Transfer credits haven’t loaded in though. Says school of Arts & Sciences, Pre Social Science Major (intent is Philosophy).
My transcript loaded today. No credits yet.
“Pre science” intended for acms.
So that seems to bode well I guess?
Yea I’ve heard the bad prognosis from the UW admissions team But thanks for the advice on timeline and transfer credits @Cole52
I just looked at my unofficial transcript, loaded! I am going into Cultural Anthropology so it is saying pre social sciences right now as my major. I will update when I get the actual letter but from what I have heard it’s pretty much a guarantee right?
@washington45 Yeah, especially if you are already at a university. Honestly, you never know with admissions though. I wish you the best of luck!
I checked for my unofficial transcript this morning, but it wasn’t until I checked after 10:00 pm today that it loaded!
My major: Pre-science, but intended Mathematics or engineering
GPA: 3.82
Essay: I believe it was pretty good. I wrote about my first job as a pizza delivery person.
Credits: About 82 after this spring quarter ends.
