I want to study architecture. I live in MN and the easiest option would be fore me to go the U. But I love Seattle and UDUB and want to go there rather badly. Iowa State is still in the mix because it is closer than Seattle, cheaper and it takes only 5 years to complete the architecture program. The only thing holding be back from going to UDUB is the cost. I would like to be able to visit my immediate family more than once a year but I have relatives that live in Tacoma so that wouldn't be too bad. However, UDUB seems to hate out of state students because tuition is really expensive and they don't offer very many out of state scholarships or grants.
I have a couple scholarships to both the U of M and Iowa State, but I still want to go to UDUB. Will I be in an enormous amount of debt if I went through school at UDUB?
Is the architecture program any better than U of MN's or Iowa State's? For any other out of state people, is it hard to get back home?

OOS colleges are expensive no matter what. Why don’t you consider community college in the Seattle area? You’re pretty much guaranteed admission as a transfer student if you have a good GPA.
