@Jsmith210 Does UW only look at your transferrable credits or all the credits you applied with when deciding on your status?

Only the transferable credits. I actually applied with 80, but ten were not transferable, which I knew. I ended up having 85 transferable completed by the time I started.

@Andielle here’s my stats

Will be earning 90 credits after this quarter
3.43 GPA
Major: Psychology
Dean’s lister for a few quarters
Active club member
Leadership trainings/ diversity conferences
Volunteering participations
A good personal statement.

@UWchancemeh you’ll be fine goodluck to everyone waiting!

@Springchoo Thank you! A little nervous about applying with so few credits Congrats again!

Oh gawd I’m so nervous :((

I actually read on the uw website for admissions that they consider the grades of all classes on your transcripts.

Also guys, I got an email from admissions asking for me to have my mid-review turned in for my current classes and that my application is under review and cannot move forward until this is done. They asked me to have it turned in by the 12th. So Thanksgiving notification sounds about right.

I heard that they review the grades of all of your classes as well. Admissions doesn’t know what transfers and what doesn’t until after you are accepted and your classes are evaluated.

I got accepted to UW pre engineering as a Junior.
My stats:
Major: Chemical Engineering
3.89 major GPA, 3.66 GPA
Lots of volunteer work/multiple jobs

For those that have gotten accepted congratualtions. For those who have not gotten an acceptance letter yet, do not fret, just continue to concentrate on your classes and do well. Good luck to you all.

That’s not true. The first time I applied they called me to urge me to reapply for winter quarter last year as I, at the time, thought ten of my credits would transfer but didn’t. This is why they have equivalency guides, people.

@Jsmith210
Were not saying they transfer over all classes, were just saying they look at your accumulative GPA as well. Not just your transferable GPA. I just read it under a Q&A section at one point. I know all about the Equivalency guide. I have mapped out all of my classes and the many ways they can transfer to my benefit I’m kind of obsessive compulsive. If you didn’t know, you can ask for specific classes to transfer to the area that you want them to (so long as it is transferable to that). For example: Say a class can be an I&S or [Q] you can ask them to transfer it to the one that you find best fit. So I played around with my transferables.

Well, hopefully more load soon.
Night everyone, congrats to those that had their transcripts load!
I’m with everyone still waiting! :/

Hey everyone! I haven’t posted on this forum yet but I logged on and also saw that my unofficial transcript loaded for UW SEATTLE! I am transferring from NSCC with 3.9 GPA and about 57 credits at the end of this quarter for pre major! I had some volunteering and strong personal need in my essay. Good luck to everyone I hope you all get in!

I’ve been keeping up with this thread since it started. I just checked my transcript and it loaded with major. Aquatic and Fishery Science

@ceclynn13 & @nmparris

Congratulations! Glad to see people getting in.
Still hoping for a loaded transcript, but prepared for the worst!

Thanks. @UWchancemeh
I was super nervous because my GPA was 3.45 because I had a few bad grades early on and I also had 2 W’s. But the last 60 credits my gpa was about 3.85 and I wrote a pretty good essay.

@nmparris I’m very nervous. 3.30 GPA, 50 credits, and I found a couple errors on my personal statement. I do have all my pre requisites completed with a 4.0 GPA, but who knows…

Transcript just loaded!!

@UWchancemeh I had a typo in mine too, misspelled my major lol

@Andielle Yay! Congratulations!
