I applied to Uof T, Ualberta and uWaterloo hoping to study environmental studies or similar programs at one of the 3 schools.
Can you please give me some input as to what school I should pick in terms of the overall college experience and program reputation.
We need to have a lot more info about you before we can make any intelligent comment. Are you Canadian? Have you visited the schools. What are your interests, etc, etc…
I agree with @57special. We need to know more about you.
How were your high school grades and test scores? How hard do you want to work? How large a school do you want? What do you want in a university? Are you Canadian? What is your budget?
You are comparing three very good universities.
I am an international student. My grades in high school weren’t fantastic, but they were decent. I want to go to a school that can offer a good social life, but I also want to be at a place where I’ll be focused on my school work. I also want a campus with a pretty good school spirit and to be in a city/town that has things for me to do during my free time.
@colorbee2 All 3 schools will offer a good social life and are in cities that have things to do in your free time.
U of T is in the most expensive city. It has the most to do. It’s probably the most diverse. It is very academically focused. A lot of students will be focused on getting into grad school.
University of Waterloo is very engineering and math focused. Half of the students will be gone each semester for co-op. When they return the next semester, the other half leaves. The university has a more applied focus.
University of Alberta will be the least diverse and coldest.
