@fruitloopery - there’s actually a Malaysian at AC (where I go) who lived in Zambia prior to going to AC… what a small world! I’m guessing there’s actually quite a significant expatriate population in Zambia!

@littleivy: Hi! Sorry if I missed this, but what country are you from? I’m guessing you are a first year at AC judging from your post. How are you liking it? What classes are you taking? Sorry if that’s too many questions, I’m just really interested as AC is one of my top schools.

@littleivy Most foreigners know each other here, but I knew her a few months after she first came here.

@windowpainting: hey! i’m here on my US passport (I was just born there, no relationship whatsoever with the country tbh lol), my parents are from hong kong, and i spent my entire life in beijing haha. i applied through the chinese national committee. :)

AC was definitely a huge change for me. i was quite interested in the boarding schools in the northeast (i.e. HADES) and so i was expecting really great facilities and really nice houses and everything. the facilities and the student houses are all from the '60s or the '70s, so if you’re interested in that kind of stuff (as i was when i first got here), lower your expectations waaaaaay down. it took me a looooooong time to get used to it and i was incredibly homesick, but the people here are really some of the most diverse you’ll ever meet. i feel like AC is the only UWC that is truly completely international. there’s a significant chinese population here, about 25-30 students (first and second years) and that’s still out of 350 students. AC really does fulfill its aim in making sure it’s a real international community. as in, i know for sure that if i want to visit serbia or greece over the summer, there is a student in the school who would offer to have their family accomodate me for whatever period of time. okay i’m done with my monologue about that haha.
i’m currently taking HL biology, english lit, and french b; SL econ, politics, and math :)

don’t worry! i’m on october break right now so i haven’t got much else to do ;)

@littleivy You used to live in Beijing? That’s really cool! I know you probably can speak and read mandarin fluently, but can you write too? Just curious. I can’t write very well myself. I usually go to Shanghai for summer to visit family and stuff. I didn’t see your post the last time I posted for some reason, so that’s why they’re separate. Just in case you were wondering :)

There’s someone from Serbia in AC? That’s awesome!

Why aren’t you taking any art subjects? :)

@littleivy: Thanks so much! It’s interesting to hear your perspective. I was never really interested in boarding schools before I heard about UWC but I’m glad that it’s very international. For me that’s absolutely the most exciting thing. What CAS are you doing?

@littleivy: Also, what do students usually do on weekends?

@lunascreatures: two more days left!! excited…haha…

@xuhanwu yeah! and then a bit more than 2 months before it’s due…this is a lot of waiting :/

@lunascreatures: at least this is a lot better than the waiting after the application is submitted and after the interview!

@windowpainting16 oh, I can imagine. I’m trying not to, though - I don’t want to get that nervousness in advance!

@littleivy :i really hope so!! could you still remember the activities you did on challenge day and any interview questions? i m a bit nervous about the interview…><

I’ve gotten to the point where I have two accounts for [ChangeDetection - Know when any web page changes](http://www.changedetection.com)
…one for my phone and one for my email. Apply online page, I’m watching you…

@lunascreatures will you let me know if anything changes? I’m studying for finals and have to consistently tell myself to stop thinking about the UWC app and focus on studying And to anyone that is on the 4X4, good luck on your finals as well!

@lindzmm of course! I’ll post here, and private message you if you want. I’m currently at a pretty easy part of the year, actually, so only about an hour of homework per night and nothing to keep my mind off it. Oh well, one more day and then I can email if it isn’t there!

@lunascreatures posting here is fine. I get emails every time and its a good way to take a short 1 minute break from the textbooks :P

Sure thing. Good luck on your finals!

The same office that handles UWC USA admissions also handles the current students’ college apps. Considering all the demands of college admission season (early decision etc.), it is no surprise that the application has not appeared yet. Hang in there!

@lunascreatures thank you
@Apollo6 Hm, didn’t think about that. Considering most early decision apps are due nov. 1st, maybe this app will be up within the first few days of november.
