I just went back from GLF 2016, haha pretty late but just some info for some future GLF applicants.

I’m a rising senior, 17-ish and I’m from Asia. Only one word about this summer program - Amazing!
I applied pretty late but somehow still managed to get a 25% financial aid, a lot of my friends who applied early got much more money so beware of that.
I love this program so much, this is basically my first time having an international experience (going abroad and meeting so many ppl from different cultures and background) and I’m pretty sure I have made a ton of good friends. Everyone is so friendly and uwc made a really good job of connecting and making all the participants very close.
We have many workshops (which I think vary by the year and the counselors) and a few longer projects, volunteer and camping. The counselors are so nice and helpful I can’t say enough. About the “leadership” issue, they try to make everyone speak up and have a chance to lead, manage and so on in either projects or daily activities. If you really want to learn and change, I think this program can help you. The schedule is super packed and you will be literally crazy busy from 8 to 10 or 11
One thing I really like is that the counselors they have this radiant, positive energy and they made me believe that I can’t do nothing
I was skeptical and scared of going to this place in the first place but when I had to leave I cried like a baby . the friends and the memories you are left with are the things you are going to miss loads. If you are considering apply for Global Leadership Forum, go for it!!
