V.I.P - What are my chances of getting into PRINCETON? LOL

Would you sleep with a old crinkly man if it ment you get into the college you want?

princeton freak-- i don't care if you go to Princeton-- when I wake up and I'm not you- THATS A GOOD DAY!

As to your having "paid" to have someone look over your essay--all y'all commenters, I had maybe a thousand people look over mine, and I'm sure a lot of y'all did too; quite a lot of these were really brilliant people. I don't really see a qualitative difference between what we did and what the OP did.

Just because you had your essay looked over a thousand times, does not necessarily mean all these other people did. And if so, they perhaps did not PAY someone to do it.

Nothing against the OP, just wanted to clear this out.

Oh and, "all y'all" is grammatically incorrect, because you have repeated "all."

if you needed a thousand people to look over your essay you should consider a community college in IDAHO.

Geez. People are vicious!
Relax guys. Don't be bitter.
Life's always been like this. Survival of the fittest, the richest, the "best".
Jealousy won't get you anywhere
G'luck Princeton Freak

i think the problem resides in the thread title:

VIP: indication one he know's he's good

LOL: what? is it a joke?

really, i can't criticize with his grades and all, but still...nothing makes him special. (i think this is why our valedictorian was rejected flat out from harvard) it's all brains but no soul.

Lol what the hell? I'd say 40% but that's only my guess.

to be honest, i have no idea where the no absences came from... is that going to be on your app?!?!?!?

anyways, i think you have a pretty good chance. but remember, there are 1208935 more asians who have the same kind of stats as you. unless you have a legacy or something, i would say you have a 50 percent chance.

i think they need to see that you've put time and effort into a certain thing.

no sports? or instruments? that would hurt you.

sorry i'm just writing straight up what i think.

i know many people who have more and better ECs. and are more well rounded. and have gotten rejected.

i don't mean to insult you, but many asians around the country are going to have the exact same stats as you. and have more perhaps and are going to get rejected.

i just don't think you should get your hopes up right away.

you should definitely think of the one thing in your application that you're most passionate about, and emphasize it.

Please don't put perfect attendance on your app...

It would be embarassing for all of us...

Please... don't...

I don't want to be labeled as racist (and I am Asian-American myself), but, unfortunately, it's usually the Asians who come up with these kinds of posts. They see college as some sort of commodity, not a place for a personalized education.

Isn't that what it is? Something to put down on your resume so you can finally get a good job and earn lots of money, so then you can actually spend time doing things you enjoy.

whoa, holyspirit, don't say college degree = money. There are plenty of college grads who are dirt poor. Hell, there are plenty of Ivy league grads who don't have a job.

Also, you equate money with happiness. Does money really equal happiness?!?!? Just something to thinnk about. . .

when do you find out the decision? is there still time to bet whether you get in or not?

I bet he'll get in.

Bill_smear, while college degree doesn't always = money, it certainly cannot hurt. Also, the most important part about college isn't the education. It's the sweet networking opportunities and the hope that your peers all eventually become important people who can net you sweet jobs.

hahaha holyspirit, agreed.
gotta be brutally honest, but you're right
