In two days, I have to give a graduation speech. The problem is that I was JUST told about this. I need some serious help. I have no idea what to do. My princliple gave me three guidelines:
It has to be unique.
It has to be short. 2-5 minutes max
It can’t be cliché(I understand this one is quite similar to the first one).
I’ve rewritten a small speech multiple times already. It’s incredibly hard to create a high school graduation speech without being cliché. I have absolutely no idea what to say. Time is drawing to a close, and I’m all out of ideas. Any help?
A long time ago I heard a student speech that involved taking each letter from the name of the school and coming up with a series of meaningful words or memories that are relevant for your class. It was not as lame as it sounds.
What is the mascot of your school?
What are positive attributes of that mascot?
How you can you inspire the students based on those attributes?
For example, if your mascot is the Eagle:
You have good Vision…look to the future
You are Fearless-- you face problems head on
You are Tenacious - you don’t stop trying
etc etc
