Valedictorian Speech

I've been officially notified that I get to deliver the valedictory adress today. Now, I have no idea where to proceed. Can anybody post their speech? Do you have any advice? Any lines you would hate to hear in a speech? Any lines that are especially good? Any good quotes?
Thanks

Congrats and good luck, try http://www.worldofquotes.com/ for quotes.

and
http://davegustafson.com/speech/kategrad.htm

for a sample speech.

Anyone else doing a val speech?

oh wow. That sample one is really good. I love it.

Yeah, it really is a good speech. I'm having such trouble writing mine though. It's really hard to make my diverse group of friends happy, the rest of my student body happy, the principal happy, the teachers happy, myself, and my parents happy in the same speech.

Just be like.

Have fun with the rest of your lives, beeches.
And then walk off stage.

its too early to determine the valedictorian of my class since we have another marking period left and finals. If I keep my grades I should be in the forerunning for valedictorian, fingers crossed.

Lol ditto,

word of advice: dont give advice. It gets boring zzzzz

Make it funny. Don't give another boring speech! Guwaaa.

i have been putting mine off for about two weeks, and now that i have started working on it, i am having so much trouble...if you guys finish, you should post yours!

ugh... I was named valedictorian in February, but I can't bring myself to work on the speech... I have NO IDEA what to talk about...

I don't like that sample at all. It's so bleh.

Last year my school's val speech was pretty stupid. He thanked everyone in the Guidance department by name and all... it wasn't inspirational or moving at all. The sal's speech made me want to cry (in a good way haha).

I bet our val's speech is going to be brilliant this year, since he was selected because the valedictorian doesn't automatically get the speaking rights.
