Valuable ECs, Clubs, etc.

Hi! I'm very, very tired of the resume-booster EC crap of high school. Now I'm looking for quality.

So what were/are your most valuable ecs, clubs, groups, activities? Why?

Thanks :)

Hmm... what are your interests?

If you're just looking for something like classes or club sports

Look for the more established organizations on-campus. There are a lot of organizations with the same motives or goals - at that point, it's just finding which groups you feel comfortable with.

Thanks for the links. There are so many student groups. I tried going through them, but that didn't work out lol.

I'm not sure what my interests are at this point. I mean, I know I don't want to do sports or engineering. I think I want to join an Indian club, something to do with singing, and some sort of volunteering, but other than that I'm open to anything.

I was overwhelmed by the Clubs fair at orientation, so the one during 0 week will be crazy. That's why I'm just looking at what others liked for ideas.

What are your most valuable clubs/activities?

the various christian ministries, im sports, bruin corps., usac, student media, ..all good choices

Agree with Jasonx88. Religious groups, sports (IM), volunteering, culture groups, academic-related groups, floor government, etc.

These are the groups people look for primarily, though I am missing a bunch or secondary categories.

You can find out at the fair during Week 0. Going to a meeting or kickoff event is more representative though.
