value of Double majors/minors?

Ok well I want to go into the field of finance and the goal is to pursue a leadership position in a large firm or company (I.e CFO, VP of Finance, etc). That being said, I believe aside from a BBA in finance I should achieve a second major or minor in accounting, economics, and/or management. But which ones should I obtain and on which form (major/minor). All advice would help, If I get accepted I will be going to Baruch for undergraduates and a top 10 for my MBA hopefully. Thank you

Not necessary to double major. If you like finance more than accounting than go that route; accounting and finance each have independent paths to the executive office. Additionally, you can do an MBA with a concentration in Finance which will give you a leg up. Getting a Management BS will be overkill and unnecessary.

I say get your BBA and the and MBA and that should be enough.

k thnx, I like finance so if I get admitted into Baruch I will pursue a BBA in Finance and investments, but should I minor in something?

Only if you want to. I doubt it will help/hurt your chances for admittance to a grad school.

Get good grades -> get a good job -> excel at job and other life aspects -> get into good grad school

it's that easy. The quality of your education is more important than the quantity of your education; better grades, not just more of them. And, education is not merely something taught at a school.

if you like more than one field, then yeah, get the double major. Besides allowing you to pursue more than one interest, it also highlights your ability to handle a lot of work (provided you perform well)
