I don’t have a twitter but can someone try to contact them?
Did anyone do it?
I don’t have a tweeter account. I would have done that many days ago.
I’m pretty sure Vandy Admissions doesn’t have a twitter account… I would try Facebook or Instagram instead.
Wow… what a significant difference between this discussion thread and the similar one for USC. Their c/o 2021 discussion thread has 4900 posts and 1.1 million views. And at least USC made it fairly clear when their admission portals would update so applicants could check. My daughter is in there at USC but also an applicant at Vanderbilt. It would be nice to know when admission decisions will be available vs having to just check the portal constantly for updates. She has six remaining decisions, yet Vanderbilt is the only one with a mystery time.
For what’s its worth, I have heard the 28th, 29th and April 1st. Hopefully sooner rather than later.
Good luck to all applicants waiting for the announcements…
Same situation! I am in at USC (and congrats to your daughter btw) and am waiting on some other decisions, but this one is the only one with a mystery time. I feel as though it would be sooner rather than later, to avoid being on/too close to Duke admissions day or Ivy Day – but this is just my speculation. Good luck to you and everyone else!
Usually, the decisions do not come so late, I am expecting it to be either tomorrow or Tuesday. I have a feeling its Tuesday though.
I think they’re t-r-o-ll-ing
Ugh, I woke up and can’t go back to sleep. Honestly so nervous for this decision since I got waitlisted at Emory :(((
So has anyone else gotten accepted/rejected from other schools? Good luck to everyone btw!!
@ibpoetrytea Don’t worry. I have many friends who are waitlisted/rejected end up with good schools. Let’s keep hopes up, and pray for all of us.
Got rejected from Virginia, WashU and U Wash. Accepted at Emory. Hoping to get admitted at Vandy to decide between the two.
I got accepted to Emory, Boston college, and UCLA but my dream is to attend Vanderbilt. Still, not gonna complain since I have some good schools that I can attend when the rejection comes from vandy haha
Anyone unable to log into MyAppVU? I get the message ‘Some problem has occurred when processing your request, please try again’ when I try to log in with my existing account or make a new one. I’ve had this problem since I tried to log in about a week ago, which was the first time since making the account in January.
I got accepted to MIT, USC, and Williams, but Vandy is my #1. Rejected from Rice and waitlisted at Washington and Lee (surprised they didn’t reject me since I didn’t turn in my transcript or send test scores). I’m so anxious for the decision!
Can anyone try to contact the admissions office?
Everyone, take a deep breath. Your chances of being accepted will not be affected by when the decisions are released. I understand the anticipation is terrible, but everything will be okay in the end. I wish you all the best of luck.
@fantasyreader If you got into Williams, I would think your odds are truly excellent at Vanderbilt. While it is almost random at these top tier schools, being accepted at a truly elite college like Williams is a good sign that you will get into Vandy.
I find your rejection from Rice mystifying. I suspect they looked at your application and were confident you would get into a school better than Rice and they did not want to hurt their yield numbers by admitting you. I am betting you did not demonstrate much interest in Rice. I find it almost impossible to imagine that you could get into Williams and MIT but not Rice.
So when are decisions going to be released? It’s 27th!
It’s hard to tell these days what schools are looking for…or even if you get a complete review. Visited a college night, at my school last year, that had admissions people from several colleges. Discovered that most set parameters that many of us could never meet. Some colleges may be giving more weight to lacrosse players, or Alum children, or just a certain ethnicity that year. They don’t advertise that, so we will never know. We can’t help our ethnicity or where our parents went to college. We also can’t become lacrosse or football players to satisfy. Try not to put too much into the rejections @fantasyreader, as you will beat yourself up unnecessarily. I was early accepted into the engineering programs at the more difficult to get into Texas schools: University of Texas (Austin), and Texas A&M, but deferred at the easier Baylor. I was rejected from Rice, as was a friend that had near perfect ACT scores and lots of extra curricular. Even doing everything on Rice’s visit list, and racing with their triathlon team didn’t help. I chalked it up to “God has something better out there for me.” Was Waitlisted at Johns Hopkins, but accepted at Carnegie Mellon. Waiting on this one, Duke, and Yale…then I will decide. With every rejection, I will continue to tell myself that God has a better plan. [My mother likes to remind me that maybe I am meant to meet my spouse at a certain school and can’t do that if I’m not there.]
@Weroip12, I too am having a difficult time signing it. Sometimes it will log me on, but at other times I get the same message you are getting.
