***Vanderbilt Class of 2021 Discussion Thread***

got email and already have my portal working

no email, portal works fine. Please dont be a rejection

i think emails are going through the server and bc they have to send out like 30k emails they dont all go out at once. No correlation.

Yeah, I really do not think Vandy would give out weird hints for admission like the portal not working.

This probably isn’t right but maybe they update portals and send emails by last name. I’m an R so it would make since that neither has happened yet. It could also be application submission date (I submitted the day before the deadline). Are either of these scenarios applicable to anyone else?

or regionally

Or by when you applied

@kgcollege17 what did the email say?

Yeah, don’t worry guys. If you look at last year’s thread, it seems that portals not working doesn’t indicate acceptance and the emails were released randomly, probably by region!

.
Emails are being sent to ALL RD applicants - what order - only Vandy IT will know.

I’m an international student from the pacific and I got my email 20 mins ago. My last name starts with C. I really don’t think it means anything tho. Good luck everyone!!

Given that my portal says my application was “withdrawn” I am moving on. Still would be nice to know who withdrew my application.

My sister and I got the email at the exact same time, so it could be alphabetical or regional

@MCarltx - if you did not withdraw, you should call them and ask.

I have 30 digits on my link, but I tried reading through the digits people had last year and there seemed to be no correlation…

So its tommarow? I do not have an email

@MedSciBud got an ivy likely and UChicago. No skin off my back, but thought it was weird.

Did anyone else get an email from Vanderbilt about missing financial aid stuff on Friday?

@MCarltx - congrats on Cornell and Uchicago, but it is still very weird that Vandy would unilaterally mark yours as withdrawn!
@AverageNerd - I received the missing financial aid email last Wednesday.

@MedSciBud I sent them an email, but at this juncture, I doubt they will respond.
