I would say that it seems like decisions should come out today except that we weren’t given the 24 hour notice that people were told to expect…
I think I read that decisions came out on Sunday two years ago, so it could be tomorrow possibly. But I read a few pages back on here that someone was told that it would be Tuesday, so maybe it won’t be until then
Anyone willing to call their AO? Haha
Carnegie Mellon releases at 12:01am (ET) tonight/tomorrow morning…however you want to look it. Will be tonight for me, since I’m in Houston, Tx.
Did they release that ahead of time?
They sent emails to candidates. I did not receive an email, so only found out on here. They did send out fat packets early, which some of us received before acceptance is to be released tonight.
Fair enough, did someone previously say that they heard packets had already been sent out for Vanderbilt?
@AlbionH yeah, apparently packages were mailed on Friday
I guess at this point we can only wait, kinda wished I could hear back from vandy before all the Ivies on Thursday
Not to be rude, but can we please not refer to Carnegie Mellon decisions on this thread. People can get lost on the posting as to whether Carnegie Mellon or Vanderbilt is being referenced.
Again, not trying to be rude. Thanks!
This is the link showing decisions being released on a Sunday 2 years ago (via @Annejulia) https://admissions.vanderbilt.edu/vandybloggers/2015/03/class-of-2019-decisions-available-online-march-22/
Hoping for tomorrow…
Sorry! Someone had asked if any colleges release on the weekend. I know they are releasing tonight.
I hope so too but didn’t someone say something about the 28th?
Yes someone said the 28th.
However, since admit letters are already in the mail, they may release tomorrow. If they wait until the 28th, some people will get admit letters in the mail before portal is updated. That would seem odd… But maybe I’m over thinking it ???
I do like your logic. Only problem is that some schools prefer for their applicants to first get the letter and then see the portal. Although don’t think Vanderbilt is one of these.
Any confirmation that letters were already sent?
In other words - how do you all know packages were mailed?
Problem with the idea of admit students getting the letter first (by design) is that only Some students will get a letter before the 28th. Cities on the west coast, Hawaii, Alaska certainly wouldn’t get their letters by the 28th.
Hmmm, I’m convincing myself it is tomorrow!
@HYPSPlease I was just going to say that! I think that if they don’t release tomorrow, it would have to be later than the 28th since otherwise only students who are relatively close to the school will know their decisions by the 28th. Usually if the school wants the letters to be received first, they will want all letters to be received before posting officially.
@MedSciBud, someone (@hungrihippo) said their Aunt worked in admissions and admit letters were mailed last Friday. @hungrihippo, has over 100 posts, so no reason to doubt…
yeah although to be fair how reliable is the information that letters have been sent out?
