To all those who were rejected, think of it this way-had you been accepted, you’d have had to withdraw all your applications to other schools… Think of all that money that you saved!
Could you guys please share your stats? I’m in the RD pool. I want to know what to expect. Haven’t yet seen a single international student get accepted.
@harveyspectator @Loyal0learner You’re Indian, right?
34 ACT
Top 2% Class Rank
Showed good amount of interest
@therealdeal23 You must have had nice ECs too? Vandy doesn’t look at interest, from what I’ve read.
Some of the people on here that I was sure would be accepted, much greater chance than I had, weren’t accepted lol these things are so unpredictable
@maevechrist15 Yeah. I was rejected at Trinity University (whose acceptance rate is 44%) where I was confident I would be accepted. It made me lose all hopes for Brown and Vandy.
I think international students who apply for financial aid are automatically rejected. :))
What are your stats/ECs?
@mundanewarrior I’m an international student from China and I got in with a 1490 SAT.
@ahiddy Could you mention your ECs in brief?
35 ACT/1560 SAT
3.38 UW GPA (Low but I attend a selective school)
ECs: Swim, Flute, robotics, writing tutor, student computing support, choreographer for school dances/shows, researcher at local university, financial manager of a in-progress start-up that’s main focus is to bring education to underprivileged girls
@mundanewarrior founded and am president of international club, officer of Chinese club, helped found a student-ran writing center, writing consultant, theater tech for 3 years, tutored refugees for half a year, choir for a year, robotics club & robotics team, science olympia, three engineering summer camps
@ImsaClassof2017 Accepted, right? Your ECs and scores are great!
@ahiddy Awesome. I hope I get in too.
@mundanewarrior Yup! Vandy acceptances based off of college confidential posts seem to be so unpredictable this year so I was quite worried, but I guess anything’s possible. I hope you get in!

@tylerperez12 Those are some really good ECs. You should get in somewhere equally good (where they don’t obsess over stats).
