Unfortunately, I didn’t get offered enough aid. Going to try to call the office tomorrow to see if I can get some more aid
:/

If I don’t get any more aid I’ll most likely be attending the University of Georgia so I’ll see y’all at some football games in Nashville/Athens!

^ if you’re accepted ED, aren’t you bound to go to that school?

Normally you are bound to attend, but there is a way out. Colleges don’t generally like to make it public knowledge but if you deem a college’s fin aid package to be insufficient you can decline. Unfortunately, that is the case for me at Vanderbilt.

Accepted today in Alabama!! So excited!!!
ACT: 32

When do we think California will get them?

Yeah, runningtitan, and taking spots away from other people. ED is reserved for students who can either afford the cost of attendance or who have done enough research on how much aid they will get via the Net Price Calculator and financial aid office. ED isn’t just some backdoor to see if you can get in or not and then decide later. If you didnt have enough financial need for your family to make it work via need-based aid, you should have applied RD and hoped for merit. Everyone denied can look to you for a reason of why they weren’t accepted.

Actually I did use one of the calculators and it gave me an estimate that was somewhat reasonable. Vanderbilt’s actual EFC wound up being about $20,000 higher.
