so what are some of the other schools you guys are applying to regular decision?

I applied EDII to Vandy - Under the RD and EA plans, I applied to USC, claremont mckenna, uchicago, Fordham (admitted EA), Tulane, UMiami florida, and College of William and Mary

RD - harvard, yale, dartmouth, washu, penn; accepted - millsaps, alabama honors, ole miss honors

Wallacea are you applying ED2 or regular to vandy?

I’m applying ed2

Anyone know how many people apply to ED II vs. ED I or if the chances are any different?

Not a clue - but I’m interested to find out as well…

Anyone else getting really nervous? only 16 more days until the letters are mailed!!

DEFINITELY NERVOUS!!! Hopefully they will mail them out a few days earlier than the expected Feb. 15th date, as they have done in the past! Checking the Vanderbilt Admissions Blog all the time!

@katie2013vandy and f4gnz77,
Vanderbilt never releases any stats about the difference between the acceptance rate of EDI and EDII which makes me insanely curious as to what it is! And thanks so much for reminding me that its only 16 days away, trying so hard to keep my mind off of it, I am so nervous! Fingers crossed that they send out acceptance letters early!

I know! As much as I tell myself I am going to be okay with which ever decision comes, I know that in my heart I am going to be devastated… so hard to focus on schoolwork!

@katie,
I know! I would be so devastated if I didn’t get accepted. I have a fall-back school just in case, but I my heart is really with Vandy. I keep telling myself that it’s not the end of the world if I don’t get accepted, but it would really and honestly break my heart. Here’s to the hope that the next two weeks fly by!

I am getting anxious, too! I read somewhere that we get letters on the 14th. Either way, this can be the best Valentine’s Day ever or our hearts can be broken. I mean, nbd…

@Wallacea,
I know right? I hate, hate, hate that colleges notify students before a holiday. Dec. 15th totally ruins (or makes, but mostly ruins) the Christmas spirit and a lot of people won’t be feeling the love from Vanderbilt this Valentine’s Day. None the less, I am very anxious to hear from Vanderbilt, hopefully it’s good news! Can’t believe so much hard work has come to this. Weeks of agonizing waiting.

@wallacea, where did you read that about the 14th??

College ******* http://**************.com/vanderbilt-university/

woah it won’t let me type ******* for some reason. Trust me, not an expletive as far as I know haha last year’s thread said that some people found out as early as Feb. 11 because they were just mailing them out by the 15th

oh gotcha! it would be great if they would mail them out next friday…

same with me!!! I really just want to know right now the wait is killing me:( Does anyone know when they will be emailing the kids who are living abroad?

my guidance counselor spoke to the vanderbilt rep for my school (in CT) today, and apparently we will definitely know our decisions by the 14th!
