Vanderbilt legacy question

I have a question about if legacy helps admission chances at Vandy. I am a junior with a 3.7 U/W and a 4.1 W GPA. I haven't taken my SAT or ACT yet, but I do a lot of extracurriculars.

Here's my situation: my dad did his undergraduate at Vandy, my mom did a fellowship at the Vanderbilt med school, and my cousin is the director of alumni relations at Vandy. Besides my dads undergrad, will the other Vandy connections help with admission, or at least set me out from the pack?

Probably not. Its not an especially huge factor in admissions decisions.

I would also recommend not using your name on these boards.

It’ll be a little helpful. Particularly your cousin, being tied to both alumni and being an employee of the school.
