So May 1st is coming up and I'm having trouble deciding whether I want to go to Vanderbilt University or UNC- Chapel Hill. Money is not an issue, because I got good deals from both schools. I live in Chapel Hill, NC. I want to study Environmental Science/ Biology and minor in Music. I would love to get involved in research as an undergrad. I really love both schools and do not know which one I'd rather go to! Any advice would be greatly appreciated :)

Congratulations - awesome choices! I wouldn’t typically weigh in on a thread like this, but I’m wondering about the fact that you live in Chapel Hill. I have always felt that college was a time to spread your wings and try new things in new places. Would you be living on campus or at home if you went to UNC?

I would be living on campus.

the best thing you can do is visit both and see which one feels more like home. both are fantastic schools and money isn’t a problem, so just try to decide where you would be happier

come to Vanderbilt…leave home…Chapel Hill is every bit as nice a college town as Vanderbilt/Nashville though…but we do have some beautiful grounds and extra fine facilities and a student body that is truly national in footprint

Nashville is a big city compared to Chapel Hill.

Any minor in music is going to love the vibes from the Blair school and its impact.

congrats on your “good problem” to have

Omg unc for sure

Harvard…
