@mjr2013 yup
RIP @mjr2013 's F5 key. :))
portals working but nothing up
@AGoodFloridian Actually I have a Macbook, so when my posts stop including the letter ‘R’ in a few weeks, you’ll know why. =))
The worst part is I keep checking and thinking to myself “ok my decision isn’t up yet. Does that mean I’m not part of first waive??!! I’m going to get rejected!!!”.
P.S. just so everybody knows, not all accepts are on first wave just so I don’t confuse anybody
When your portal changes it changes a LOT. like the whole screen turns into a like big picture and it’ll say your decision in big white letters. At least for waitlist and acceptances it does idk about rejections.
My God, this has got to be the most nervewracking feeling that Ive ever felt! And we don’t even know if first wave is today!
it looks ~something~ like this: http://admissions.vanderbilt.edu/insidedores/manage/wp-content/uploads/IMG_20131213_2152172-650x650.jpg
wow… I’d kill to have that.
@somehmonggirl Wow, that’s pretty nice-looking, gonna make the rejection that much worse lol.
something like
I’m sorry but, You are rejected (name) !
I guess you won’t be part of the class of 2020 at Vanderbilt University!
THE SUSPENSE!!! :)] :(( @-)
Hello all…I am a current CC student near Vanderbilt. I applied for transfer for the first time this year. Is it difficult to get in to Vanderbilt coming from a community college? I’m in kind of a weird position anyways because I’m 31 and I wouldn’t be able to stay on campus. My fiancé and I bought a house last year. We’re only 30 minutes from campus. I know they prefer their students to stay on campus so I don’t know if this will lessen my chances of getting in. I have a 3.9 GPA and I am trying to transfer into Vanderbilt’s neuroscience program.
@ksleeper Well, none of us can tell you for sure, but with a 3.9, regardless of where you went, I think Vanderbilt will give your grades merit. I have no idea how they would weigh your campus situation, but it’s not like they know if you’re staying on or off campus when they look at your app, so I bet there would be no impact to your chances, regarding housing.
@JSPHHAN I’m hoping I get in but if not, I will end up staying at CC and try again next year. I’m hoping that because I am not a “traditional” student, they will be more inclined to admit me. Large schools like to show diversity nowadays.
@ksleeper Sending good vibes your way! I would guess that you have a good shot in getting admitted with a 3.9. Of course, this is purely speculation based off of the past years.
I wonder what percentage of the applicants would have higher than 3.8 gpa. I’d assume majority of them since most of us are pretty desperate. I certainly hope that’s not the case, because it would be a hell of a competition for anyone.
@inordie Vandy says that successful transfers have a 3.3+ GPA, so their threshold on the lower end seems to be not that high. Although they could be just saying that to get more applicants
@JSPHHAN Good vibes your way as well! If we all get in, we can meet up and celebrate before classes start in the fall!
Yes! I would totally love to meet new friends
