yeah but mid April can mean anytime between the 10th and the 20th. I would call right now but I’m at work.
@TerrierNation Patience, my guy. the good things in life take time
Have patience, my friend. If it means anything, they have probably started looking at our applications by this point since the class of 2022 just got finalized (aside from their waitlist and all). When I inquired about the status of my application, they said they were to busy with other things to even start reading them (that was about a week and a half ago).
There’s also a solid chance some of us aren’t even going to be in the first wave (does not necessarily mean you will be denied), so I would not get too attatched on a certain date. When I applied to WashU in St. Louis last year, our whole groupme went crazy over the decision date. It made us at least 10x more stressed then we should have been lol.
My college transcripts should have arrived at Vandy about 3 weeks ago, but they have not been checked off my checklist yet. Neither do admission officers reply to my email. Anyone else met the similar problems?
You should call them. The same happened to me because I sent my transcript in myself. Vanderbilt didn’t acknowledge that as my official transcript, so I had to resend it directly through my school, and within a week it had fixed on the checklist.
Thank you very much! I will call them tomorrow. @clemsontovandy
@clemsontovandy Why do you want to transfer from Clemson? My daughter admitted to Clemson honors, waitlisted at Vandy and trying to decide what to do.
Clemson just wasn’t right for me. The environment isn’t quite as conducive to academics as I would like, and I haven’t found many people here that I’ve clicked with. It could be entirely possible that it would be just right for you daughter, just not for me. Plus, I’d actually be paying less to go to Vandy because of its financial aid. @burghdad
@clemsontovandy Thanks for the feedback. So as not to put Clemson stuff on Vandy forum, I will PM you privately if you don’t mind.
I called admissions and they said they were unsure about when transfer decisions would go out. They just stuck to mid-April.
As expected, oh well. Since it is a rolling process there probably won’t be a set date. They’ll probably release them as soon as they are done.
Do they ask for your name when calling? Wondering if they have a list, lol.
Hi everybody! Fellow Vandy transfer applicant here. I believe they release admissions in waves starting mid-April.
@Natedagrate13 haha They do not
Does anyone know how long we have to accept after/if we find out we get in? Is it 2 weeks?
@M_Reynolds You have until June 1st.
I think I tricked them. I called and said “so decisions are coming out on the 17th, right?” And the receptionist said “who told you that?”
@TerrierNation Oh wow that’s soon!
Last year the first wave was released on April 18th!!!
To be fair, “who told you that” could also just mean “who told you that because it’s totally incorrect”
