^They definitely did. I’m a Gamecock right now. It was sweet. Vandy is #4 right now.

my letter is supposed to be mailed to my home address. My parents haven’t called me that a letter has been received but I got this email tonight and it is too late to call to see about the letter. do you think my letter hasn’t come to my house yet or did other people get it too?

Congratulations on being admitted into Vanderbilt University! The admissions office staff sent me your information because you indicated you have participated in cheer, dance, or gymnastics in your application. Because of your prior experience, I would like to invite you to cheer/dance/mascot tryouts for the 2011-2012 season.

Congrats!

Congrats! Could you posts stats?

pretty, that is too funny that you heard from the tryouts before you heard from admissions! Oops! Congrats!

big envelope or regular letter envelope???

I bet a lot of us will hear today!!!

No letter in knoxville…

I just got an email from my counselor stating that most the letters will be sent out within the next couple of weeks. This was the response I got when I emailed about what time I may hear from them. So, that makes it seem like most people won’t hear until next week at the earliest.

I received an email from my counselor stating that she was out of the office last week in addition to being out this week, so that pretty much assures me that I won’t be finding out any time soon. She said she has no idea when the letters would all be mailed out, and if she’s been absent from the office for this two week stretch, it’s likely that my app hasn’t even been reviewed yet. I really did not want this hanging over my head as finals week approaches, but it is what it is. Hopefully many of you get better news today than I did lol.

Do they leave the decisions up to the individual admissions counselors? Because how can they control how many acceptances there are then? Surely they make these decisions as a group? Weird.

Yeah, I don’t understand why they would send out a batch of admissions before even reviewing a good number of the other ones. At first I thought they might just accept certain people by region, and so it wouldn’t matter when the counselor reviews them because they have control over their region. However, it seems that people in similar regions will be getting their letters at very different times.

Hang in there, guys. It’ll be okay.

@WaitingForSpring

My counselor was out for a two week stretch as well, and I was told that their absence would not effect the speed of which I would receive a decision. I wouldn’t worry too much about it.

Anyone receive a letter today?

Waiting for my mail… doesnt come until four

No letter in NYC. This is so frustrating…

No letter from lala land. That’s Los Angeles for those who don’t know lol
