Vanderbilt?

I'm currently a junior, ranked #4 in my class of about 350 or so. 4.0 gpa, 30 on the ACT (though probably going to retake until I get a 32). My school offers ZERO AP courses, and they don't even offer honors for every subject. Regardless, I've taken 5 honors courses and 1 Dual Enrollment course. I'm a member of BETA, FBLA, Interact, and the Academic Bowl Team. I also played basketball my freshman year. I do volunteer work helping the maintenance department at a local nursing home 2-3 days a week. I plan on volunteering at a hospital this semester and/or summer.

Assuming I do get a 32 on my next ACT, what are my chances of getting accepted into Vanderbilt? Also, any advice on how to increase them?

dude, if it’s your first choice, apply ED; boosts your chances. if so, then you have a decent chance, and just improve that ACT

Buuuuuump?

You sound like you have strong credentials, but try to get your ACT up. I had a friend who had an entire laundry list of extra curriculars, almost all junior year classes were ap’s, a high gpa and an okay SAT, but they still were not accepted. It’s hard to get in but good luck!

But if you don’t get in, don’t worry too much. They’re transfer acceptance rate is over 50%, so I’ve been told.
