My DS is scheduling his interview with the rep from Vandy alumni. Has anyone had their interview already this fall for 2010 applicants? What kind of questions were asked? If you have any other tips, it would be appreciated? thanks.

Okay my DS followed instructions a week ago and sent an email to an alumni on the list requesting an interview. He has not heard back. Has anyone set up their interview? How long did it take? Thanks, Veronica

They should get back to you within one week. You should try to schedule with someboody else. They will ask questions about the applicants interests (ie what books do you like, what are your favorite classes, what interests you outside of school) They will also talk about Vanderbilt and what their expierence was like. They will not ask about grades or standard tests. They are trying to pass on information and see how the applicant will fit into the Vanderbilt community. Good Luck.

My interview was really easy. I also interviewed at Wake and compared to that, this was a piece of cake.

Just be ready to talk about all of your extracurriculars, what sets you apart, what impact you’ve made in high school, etc. Also, you should have questions ready to ask for your interviewer because they’re all alumni so they would love to talk about their experiences.

Good Luck

OMG–mine was AWFUL. A really, really bad experience.

Okay, just looked at my post, & it’s a bit melodramatic. Let’s change that to “quite a negative” experience.

Don’t know that I can offer any tips, tho…luck of the draw.

Why was yours so bad??

Don’t want to say too much publicly, but interviewer had a LOTTA attitude.
