Various Financial Aid Questions

Hello everyone. So, I received my financial aid letter on April 1st, took a look at it, and haven't really done much else about it until now, as the decision deadline is coming up. As I was looking back over it, I just saw a third page that I don't recall reading before that says:

"The following is additional information that is applicable to your 2012-2013 financial aid eligibility and status: 12. Award tentative pending receipt of missing documents"

Now I have no idea what documents these may be, as all of my other colleges received the exact same documents and their awards went through just fine. So, naturally I go to the "Where am I in the Process" website to log in and check the status of my documents. However, it says "Your application is not available at this time. Please check again later."

Does this mean they took the page down? How can I find out what I'm missing? I'm a first time student so I don't have an SIO account yet.

Also, I heard that Carnegie may match the financial aid offers from other schools if requested. How do I go about doing this? The school that I'm planning to use as leverage is Case Western, which isn't a peer school as per CMU's list of peer schools, but I've heard of them matching it before. I received 30K from CWRU and only 10K from CMU.

Anyhow, I've searched and can't find any forms for it. Some topics I've read have said that a Request for Review form comes with the financial aid letter, but those were posts from past years and I never got one this year.

I've checked

Forms & Guides-The HUB - Carnegie Mellon University

but none of those forms seem relevant.

Any help here would be greatly appreciated! I know I shouldn't have waited this long, but now I'm seriously worried.

Just to point out, if you need significantly more aid from CMU, dont expect much. I was told they typically match about half of the “match request offers” they receive and the average amount CMU added is about $6000.

Agree with Cortana, on review we got a little token (probably didn’t even cover our gas money to go to the revisit day). Our son had a $22,000 merit from RPI, which is listed as a peer.
Didn’t matter, he’s going to CMU anyway. He couldn’t give up the opportunity, and we had to agree and just bite the bullet. Never lost $90,000 so quickly…
And by the way, when we were on campus today, their computers in FA were down, and were told they’d been down all weekend. That’s why you can’t log in. Call tomorrow.
