So whats the JHU special?

uh... Lacrosse?

...what's the question?

Says you're from UAE so that's probably why you're a bit out of the loop. JHU men's lacrosse is nasty!

Lacrosse at Hopkins is like football at USC.

LOL... Arctic16 what have u got against UAE? I was just in a hurry when i asked that. I meant which sport is JHU most well-known for? And, how do u get to be a recruited athlete?

I c...Lacrosse...anything else?

Track and Swimming are good, but Hopkins isn't well known for them. Plus they're Div III. Hopkins lacrosse is definitive and gives the school great notoriety because of it's historical dominance of this niche sport. But, to be recruited you have to be among the best in the country--and the best oftentimes go to to Hopkins, UVA, Princeton, Duke.

Cleary, as has already been stated, the top sport at Hopkins is Lacrosse at all levels. The Men's team is the most storied program in the history of collegiate lacrosse and the women's team is perrenially ranked in the top 20 for Division I programs.

All other sports at Hopkins at Division III, and actually many of the teams are well-ranked in Division III. Hopkins is actually in the top 15 every year in Director's Cup standings which tracks success in DIII athletic programs across all sports.

The top teams annually are Swimming (rank in top 5 in national standings), Baseball (top 10), and Soccer (both men's and women's make the NCAA tournaments almost each year).
