Varsity team wearing glasses?

I wear glasses,
and nobody say I am nerd, maybe few.
So don't tell me you should wear contact lense in usual life.

I am thinking of joining varsity men soccer.
You know it looks hilarious guy wearing glasses running field do 'heading'.
So what is usual thing to do?
Does lots of team members wear contact lenses? Does it bother?

Thanks a lot:()

It’s soccer. As long as your glasses aren’t going to get in the way of you pretending to be injured in an attempt to drain the clock, why not wear them?

I personally have worn my glasses when i played soccer as a GOALKEEPER for over six years starting in elementary school and through high school, I was even on the school varsity team a couple of times, so i dont think it will be a big issue, but maybe you might consider wearing protective glasses or something in that category, i personally havent worn any contact lenses, i played with my own medical glasses, but now, i plan to enter university level athletics, and i dont plan to do so using my normal glasses.
and no, its not hilarious, as long as you have good confidence, and glasses that doesnt fall off of your face with the slightest move, thn you should be fine, like I said, you might consider buying a sport glasses, youll find them easily.
hope this helps.

I used to play a lot of soccer, and when I do now (though socially) I play with my glasses. Do what you feel comfortable with, I don’t actually think it’s weird for people to head with your glasses. Well I play volleyball with my glasses and so does my friend in the team, so far we’re fine.

Thank you so much, but I saw on the video of youtube of my school soccer team, and it seems like they only do heading. jk I mean it is not easy to do heading with wearing glasses on.

You’ll probably want to get sports glasses or wear contacts. The ball can hit you smack in the face and break your glasses. It’s kinda annoying to wear regular glasses because they’re not guaranteed to stay on your face. Sports glasses hold onto your face much better so they’re a better choice.

When I saw this, I immediately thought of that black kid in Kicking and Screaming.

WHen my sister played soccer, she wore her glasses. When she moved onto a much more aggressive contact sport, she got contacts. I thnk for a “beautiful game” (:)) like soccer, glasses can be okay.

I have been playing soccer since I was about six. I also wear glasses. When I was younger, wearing glasses while playing didn’t really matter. However, in the 6th grade I got contacts for lacrosse (it’s hard to wear glasses under a helmet!). I continued to wear them for soccer and I realized it made all the difference in my playing ability.

Get sports glasses.

Sam Belcher, if you’re reading this, you have the coolest glasses ever.

Uhm, I should think more, and no I am not black, though I wouldn’t bother if I were black.

No one said you were black.

^ I think he is misinterpreting:

hahahahah!

lol, yes, I seriously thinking of what I should do the “heading”. It is pretty important,
