I've just handed in my college application materials to my guidance counselor and after stressing for so long over everything, I actually feel like I should have held on longer, as if the decision has been taken out of my hands and I can only sit back. Coincidentally, this is what I do have to do. I just came by this site and want to see what you all think of my chances to get into my dream school, my number 1, Vassar.

First, Im applying early decision
Ive visisted three times which I think when they see that I have will look good in my favor.
Ive emailed the admissions officer for my area and expressed my interest and intention of applying Early Decision.

My average is a 96 but I dont know my rank since my school doesnt rank.
I dont believe many people, if any, from my school have applied there in the past so I think that will work to my advantage.

I think my essay came out pretty good, the letters of reccomendation are good, and my extracurriculars while not extensive are good. I did a lot of community service and things like yearbook, newspaper, student council as a class rep for the past two year. I didnt do much besides volunteer work and a club here or there freshman and sophmore year.

My standarized test scores are what I worry will hurt me....SAT 1210

SAT II Writing 710
Spanish 720
Bio-E 600
US Hist 650

AP Spanish 5
US Hist 4

Also, I know the admissions rep I emailed is going to be at a local college fair. Do you think it would be strange if I went only to say hello and meet him and again tell him how much I wish to attend and how interested I am in the school?

I guess I hope all of you to say my chances are good but I rather you be honest.
Thanks in advance, Nick
