So, I still have parts of my app that aren’t received, my School/Counselor Report and my Common App Supplement. Should I be worried?

Matt, I can’t speak for the School/Counselor Report, but my Common App. Supplement is still marked as “Not Received” as well, so I wouldn’t worry about that aspect.

Admissions officers have just started going through my application. Since you sent yours in a little less than a month after mine, Matt, some things will probably not be checked off by admissions officers.

How do I know that they’re going through my app, do you ask? I recieved an email from a Vassar admissions officer yesterday. My guidance counselor never sent in my ED form. I had to make screen-prints of the CommonApp website proving I sent in the ED agreement so they wouldn’t bump me to regular decision. Not exactly the best thing to have going through your head on opening night…

Okay. Thanks, Amanda.

Oh Emily. I hope opening went well for you though! And at least we know that we’ll get emails if they’re looking for something missing/not received.

hey all im trying out for vassar too! :)

seems like there’s a fb connection going on. Matt i’ve pm-ed u my fb id.

I just got my Vassar ID today, and it says my Teacher Evaluation and Common App Supplement haven’t been received. I’m going to put the Teacher Evaluation as being because of the mail backlog, but as the supplement was sent online and says it was downloaded on the Common App website, I don’t get how it has not been received…

chirichimes, most of us are facing the same issue regarding the supplement. The most probable reason is that it’s the last portion of the application to get checked in, and they simply haven’t updated our statuses yet. I wouldn’t worry about it just yet. :]

I wasn’t worried- I know they’ll get to it eventually, I was just wondering how it worked out like that, and your answer explained it, senioryr2010. Thanks!

I’m thinking, if they don’t have all components marked as “Received” by the end of the month, should I call and ask if I should send in my missing components again? Thoughts?

P.S. It says my “School/Counselor Report” and “Common App Supplement” are “Not Received”.

Paranoia alert.

Everything is officially marked as “Received.” Now the real waiting/anticipation begins…

Matt, check your status now because I just checked mine and everything is received, and we submitted on the same day!

Nope, those two things are still marked “Not received”. Hopefully at least by the end of the week?

But good for you, Amanda! Omg, godspeed and my the Force be with you.

Yeah, I’d say by the end of the week. I’m sure the delays are due to the holiday rush.
Did you submit your Supplement electronically or send it snail-mail with the other stuff still marked as not received? If so, it’s definitely just a mail delay.

And ahh, thanks so much! :)
I’ve got my fingers crossed for all of us!

20 days left- and the SAT scores that came out yesterday have made me all the more excited/impatient!

Does anyone know how CollegeBoard sends scores? Do they wait to send them until the scores of the last test you are registered are out, or do they send each score as they come out? I’ll be e-mailing CollegeBoard my question, but I was hoping that I would get a more prompt response here.

Happy Thanksgiving in advance!

They send all of the scores that have been put out already the day or so after you request them to be sent. Once the new SAT scores come in, they will resend everything, both the new and the old scores. They do not re-charge you for sending the old scores out twice.

Amanda, I sent in my School/Counselor Report electronically, and my Supplement electronically, although I made a note that I sent in my Your Space through the mail. The 500KB filesize limit was just too constraining.

STILL NOT RECEIVED I AM PARANOID. Although they received my missing finaid materials. All is good on that end.

Alright, well if you submitted them electronically then at least you know it’s not lost somewhere in the world, it just hasn’t been checked in yet. I’d say give them until Dec.1 and then call. I wouldn’t be paranoid so long as your Common App says that they were sent. Your information is probably either being reviewed/about to be reviewed, and they just haven’t updated the status yet.

Don’t worry!! It’ll be fine, but I’d definitely say call on the 1st if it still isn’t marked as received.

Most def agree by Dec. 1. Thanks. 20 DAYS OMG!

Ah, I know!! I think there’s a chance we might get our letters sooner than the 15th. Looking back on previous threads, it seems like they’ve been sent out earlier, as early as the 10th! Oh pleaaaaaase let them come earlier than the 15th! haha :)

So…I submitted a your space online but just remembered that they wanted your name, DOB, and HS on it…I am not sure if this is more towards mailed items or not…I submitted it with my common app so should it matter?? gahh

I do not think you needed all that information if it was submitted online. My name and DOB is on it anyway, since it was my theatre resume, but the YourSpace should already be attached to your CommonApp. So, do not fret about it. (:
