That is definitely not true. Some of my VCU undergrad friends have gotten into top med schools: UCSF, UVA, UCSD, Northwestern, UPitt, etc.

It's not hard at all to get into Honors College if you have at least 3.5

how many years is this program?

Hmmm...not really sure about all of the content of this thread, but it's incredibly rude to argue that any BA/MD program is BAD, when many people would aspire to go to ANY BA/MD program. Plus, if you haven't gone through the program, then you don't really know.

VCU isn't my top choice for BA/MD programs that I'm applying to, but that's not to say that VCU's program isn't every bit as good as USC's program.

I will say I don't like how the information was put out for VCU's program though...it's hard for me to get all the info straight, and I don't like that you have to do the app in one sitting.

On that note, does anyone know what the 2 essays are for the VCU app, since I haven't gone through to find out? And does anyone have an exam calendars for the AP tests in 06-07 and 07-08, since the app requires you to list the exact day you took the AP test?

I don’t know if people still follow this but I applied to the VCU guaranteed medical program and my stats are:
SAT: 2150 (770 Math, 690 CR & Writing)
SAT II: 770 Chemistry, 700 Math I
GPA: 3.85 WEIGHTED (but I improved: 3.5 freshman, 3.9 soph, 4.3 junior)
AP Chem., AP CS A, AP CS AB -> 5 & 3 on AP Eng Lang.
Senior classes:

But, I haven’t volunteered at all at a medical related place -> but was an animal caretaker at a State Park for 4 years.

& a bunch of clubs (and a med related non-profit’s P.R. Director).

Do you think I can make it ?
