Hey,
I'm a vegetarian. Are there many options for me with on-campus dining? Also...what about off-campus?

Thanks!

Hey,
I'm a vegetarian. Are there many options for me with on-campus dining? Also...what about off-campus?

Thanks!

Off-campus: Moosewood, Aladdin's, sushi places (Kyushu, Plum Tree, etc.), a couple of thai places

On campus: Salads and stuff

...Salads and stuff?

I hate vegetables. Are you serious? No tofu foods? What about pasta?

A vegetarian hating vegetables??
craziness! :)

norcalguy, can you define "stuff"?
thanks

You are a vegetarian and you hate vegetables?

Curious.

Oh... there's pasta. And cheese. And dairy. And tofu. Delicious, soy-marinated, baked tofu called Tofu Kahn!

Brunches at ABC Cafe are to die for.

There are actually a couple of new vegetarian eateries on campus, too. One in Annabel Taylor, I believe.

Freshman 50, here I come.

But I'm extremely glad I won't have to search too much for vegetarian food.

I know I annoy the heck out of restaurant workers when I interrogate them about the extent/validity of the "vegetarian-ness" of their food; and I annoy myself, too.

But hopefully it won't be a problem at Cornell! :)

My roommate was vegetarian and she had absolutely no problem finding food in the dining halls...salads, stir fry (with tofu and noodles if you dont like vegetables), pasta bar, boca burgers...the options are limitless

Ha, I do the same k14.

"Are you SURE it doesn't have any beef broth?"
"Umm..it's vegetarian soup..."
"Check.."
-10 minutes later-
"Yeah..it's in a beef broth.."

Also...yeah I pretty much hate vegetables. I don't mean with other things though..I love veggie sandwhiches, and like stir fry veggies, ect...but I hate PLAIN vegetables...like salad.

I'm a vegetarian and we've had the Moosewood cookbook in my house forever. The food there is awesome. I didn't even realize that Moosewood the restaurant was in Ithaca until after I'd decided to apply to Cornell and it was definitely an added bonus when I found out. :)
