I heard that Cingular users have problems with good reception. I also heard all the Verizon users have none.
Did anybody do any research on carriers, if it's true what these students said?

Do you mean that Verizon has no reception or no problems?

That's what I heard from friends who attend GW already.
I was wondering if anybody else have problems too, or if cingular works just as fine..

Verizon is the only carrier that works in the metro.

Thank you tlesc01!

Sure. They have a contract with the DC metro.

I live two blocks from campus. Verizon Wireless coverage, while the most expensive, is the most comprehensive and reliable in DC. And it's true that they have the only contract for in-Metro service which you'll discover is a plus.

Cingular can be a pain (not to mention the service is horrendous anyway). And as soon as you step on the metro escalators you lose your signal.
