Very passionate about Martial Arts, and my personal business. Hoping to get strong personal statements out of those + my internship.

PLEASE CHANCE ME GUYS!

BUMP IT UP! Need some inputs guys.

Ok…just based on gpa/SAT profile, UCM/UCR is a match
[University of California - Freshman admission profile](http://www.universityofcalifornia.edu/admissions/campuses/merced/freshman-profile/index.html), others could be low match, UCLA/UCB/UCSD - high reach.
Again don’t hold anything back in your app. If your economic/school/personal background portrays hardships etc, that may help. UCs do review the applicants based on challenges that you may have faced. Your ECs might bump it up too. So apply and see.

UC Berkeley - high reach
UC LA - high reach
UC Irvine - low reach/high match
UC Davis - low reach
UC San Diego - reach
UC SB - low reach/high match
UC SC - match
UC R/M - match/low match

it seems evident that you are passionate about martial arts, but overall the ECs are all over the place in widely varying fields. it’s not bad but you would have been better off focused on a few disciplines especially when your ECs are your highlights. the biggest hindrance are your test scores and GPA. judging by your gpa and number of honors/ap classes taken it seems to me you might have gotten at least 1 c or simply Bs in most of your classes. if you aren’t satisfied with UCR/UCM then you should consider adding more safeties/match schools.

Thanks for the inputs guys. So if you were to give a percentage, what would they be? Are high/low/regular reaches very possible to get into?
The “reach, high reach” thing is on based on my stats only right? That completely excludes my EC’s and personal statements.

Bump it up guys! Need more inputs!

Bump it up guys!

Bump it up guys!

You have no chance at Berkeley basically no chance at UCLA (sorry, just being honest.

While you have good EC’s, they aren’t amazing enough to overcome the low GPA and very low test scores for places like Berkeley and UCLA (not even with very strong personal statements). I based my assessments on all the information given.

UC Irvine - high match/low reach
UC Davis - reach
UC San Diego - high reach
UCSB - low reach/high match
UCSC - match
UC R - low match
UC M - high safety

UCLA/Berkley/SDiego are out

id say about 1/3 or 1/4 for irvine/santa barbara, davis chance
ucr/ucm are shoo-ins basically
ucsc is most reasonable as of now.

@chemistrywarrior so basically i have a 25-33% chance of getting into SB/I? Davis is even less than that?

What ACT score do you think I would need to get to have greater chances?

the impact of ECs is subjective, obviously; an admission officer could look at your essays and ECs and be surprised at your determination outside of school or conclude you aren’t focused enough on academics. unfortunately, business and engineering are quite statistics heavy, the latter arguably thought of as one of the heaviest.

I think that you have best chances at R, SC, and M, but your SAT scores are too low for everything else… It’s kind of a shame.

Chance me back plz
http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/college-admissions/1228731-chance-me-top-schools-will-chance-back.html</a></p>

UCR/UCM match. UCSC high match. UCD/UCI/UCSB low reach. UCLA/UCSD/UCB high reach. chance back another uc hopeful! http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1225356-compsci-schools-students-bad-stats-like-me-uc-chancers-please-look.html</a></p>

BUMP IT UP GUYS! Man… I need a good ACT score to get into my first priorities: irvine/davis.

Chances of getting into the school not factoring in major:

Berkeley - very high reach
UCLA - very high reach
UCSD - very high reach
UCD/I/SB - high reach
UCR - high match
UCSC - match
UCM - match

Chances of getting into anything Engineering/Business Administration

Berkeley - I don’t think it’s possible
UCI - Very unlikely for Business Admin.
UCR - might be difficult for Engineering

BTW, I think you can only list five of each for awards and extracurriculars on the application.

@oceanpartier: I’m aimed 100% at the BIM program at UCI (not the paul merge school). do you know if it’s easier to get into that major?

bump it up!

Bump it up again

Bump it up! Need opinions!
