My stats are:
3.22 GPA
1840 SATs
White
Female
NJ resident
Applied undeclared
Willing to do the summer session

I know my GPA is on the low side, however I had a 3.7 for my junior year. Penn State is my top choice and I’d really appreciate any feedback. Thanks!

Calvinsmom…My daughter just checked and still no status change! Most of her friends with high stats have heard back already. In addition, the other kids she knows who applied were sent to branch campuses back in Oct/Nov. She is worried that she will be waiting the entire 5 months just to be rejected.

I hope this long wait translates to good news for our kids! However, I am having flashbacks to 3 years ago when that exact thing happened to my older daughter. She applied in early September and was offered a branch campus on January 25th! Fingers crossed!

Still no change here as well. And based on what I am seeing posted of the past couple days, I am getting a very strong suspiscion that my DD will be rejected, or at most admitted summer session. Seems very wrong to make them wait this long to reject.

Yes, if they’re going to reject you, you should hear asap in my opinion, because the wait is painful. But maybe it just means that it’s a real close call right now and they’re not sure…shrug I’m crossing my fingers…

momofa12…my daughter applied specifically for summer session. She thought that might help her chances of admission. She has no problem going in the summer, but at this point, she is afraid she is going to be sent to a branch campus.

Everyone who still has no change or hasn’t received the coming days status, I applied in October and still have not heard anything back yet. I know that they say that you should hear by the end of January if you applied before the priority date but does anyone know if people sometimes hear after January?

You can hear up to the end of February. Which is likely when I will hear back from them, due to the fact that my transcripts and SAT scores were only received in December.

Right there with you BlueHen - still nothing and three others last week got accepted, one of which said she isn’t even attending, committed to another school already. I am really hoping my D gets UP but as we’re winding down here to the last minute I’m thinking branch. I’m just not understanding the whole process especially seeing those who are getting their acceptances now (from her school) and have much lower stats, no ECs, etc…I really don’t think our kids are rejected at this point or they’d have done that - it sure would be cruel at this point after waiting 4 months to be rejected anyway. Her status has not changed since October - still 'reviewing your credentials… a decision will be posted here as soon as one is made". She’s so sick of seeing that status ! Hope we all get great news this week. They told her guaranteed by Jan. 31st and I know if nothing is here by then, she’s going to call again Feb. 1st. Just wish the others she applied to didn’t have March/April acceptance dates, I think she’d feel better. We do have Pitt and West Chester right now, but would be great to hear others.

I apologize if I am repeating myself, I just can’t remember if I posted this already. DO NOT THINK BECAUSE YOU HAVEN’T HEARD YET THAT IT IS BAD NEWS. 2 years ago my daughter did not hear until January 25th or 29th - it was torture waiting as it was her first choice. She got in for Fall and she had borderline stats. There are thousands upon thousands of applications to review - I think it just takes time. Other huge universities seem to be going through the same thing (ie. Michigan). Hoping for all of you to be accepted.

So, I got the “coming days” status 2 days ago. Picture stayed at UP. I only applied to UP and no branch campuses. Does this mean I definitely got in? I guess I find out at midnight tonight anyway…
