I applied September 12th-ish and have not heard ONE thing - I applied to the business school (which I did hear is more competitive and takes longer to hear from)! i have seen a few kids on here that have heard from the business school - but for those of you that have not heard or at least gotten the COMING DAYS status - could you let me know what schools you applied to - and your stats?

mine are:
GPA - 3.7-ish
SAT - did not submit
ACT - 29

My extracurriculars are fantastic, I did the optional statement on the application, and I'm taking 4 APs senior year!

I applied around the same time as you did and I haven’t heard anything either…even my status hasn’t changed. I applied to the College of Health & Human Development majoring in nutrition. Weighted GPA of 4.0 and 1710 SAT…all of my classes t/o high school have been honors/college prep…ughh im sooo nervous!! i just want to hear back!

I applied in mid-October to DUS
OOS of State African American
3.52 UW GPA (my school doesnt weight)
1940 SATs
Did the optional essay and tons of extracurriculars

I applied on November 29th, the status changed to “Your application and high school transcript have been received and are under review. Please continue to check your status.” on December 1st, and it’s been that ever since. I didn’t apply EA/ED anywhere else, and PSU is my #1, so this wait is killlllling me :(

stats:
College of Communications
GPA: 3.94 UW
SATs: 1240/1960 (one sitting)
Ton of EC’s, leadership positions, community service, good personal statement & recommendations.
Out of state

you applied in september and havent heard i would call! last year i applied in november and heard at the beginning of december, it shouldnt take too long especially since you applied so early. Goodluck! You have good stats so im suprised you havent heard.

S2 applied to College of COMM in early September and still has not heard. PSU doesn’t really look at anything but your gpa and test scores; the personal statement is just a formality and they don’t care about your ec’s (welcome to a really big university!). BUT if you read the other threads, you see that Comm is often the very last group of people to get acceptances. The wait is killing us too but it doesn’t mean anything. It could be mid/late January before we know!! I know plenty of COMM students who found out Jan 20-Feb. 10 or so, ones with great gpas, etc…, so don’t lose hope.

Okay…got the coming days message…stayed on UP for 2 days…3rd day changed to Altoona. Got the congrats email with a picture of UP but the acceptance for Altoona…would not offer me 1 st choice even after calling… Then today got accepted into VANDERBILT!!! Go figure!
