My school is rather large. Currently at my school we have ~3500, but if you combined both High Schools, it would be ~6500. I think the district has at least 15000 students, which apparently is huge here (2nd largest SD on Long Island, I think.)

my old school was HUGE!! some of my friends are picking me up for valentines even though it's a 1 hour drive... yayy

I wish I went to a bigger school! We currently offer FOUR AP classes total! There are never enough students interested to field another AP, so we have to do independent studies to get more AP's in. You cannot usually switch teachers, as many teachers are the only ones who teach their class, especially the science and language departments. There are many, many scheduling conflicts because we have so many classes that are only offered one period at their level, and these are usually honors/AP classes. Electives are extremely limited, we have 6 health classes and 5 business classes, 7 art classes, and about 6 other electives, gym, band, and chorus. I wish I could go somewhere where they have computer classes, other languages than spanish, home ec, and more AP's.

I go to a high school of about 5000 kids, and we lack many AP's, and for the ones we do have, there are a thousand requirements, so It's impossible to take them all at the same time (I hate how the requirement in my school for AP Calc BC is to have taken AP Calc AB).

My school has ~3500 kids, and I like it all right. On the plus side, we offer TONS of AP classes, even though the percent of the student body that takes them is reaally small, and we have lots and lots of teachers, so the AP class sizes stay really small (like, my class sizes range from 2 students (including myself) to 21 max (and that's calc bc, but only because they had to combine all the calc classes into one class recently, because of some stupid scheduling thing), sooo it's pretty nice). But on the other hand, our hallways are so crowded that we get 7 minutes to get to class (really way too much time, imo), we have 1-way halls that only make everything worse, they've only recently solved the crowded lunch issue, etc. But I can't imagine going to a smaller high school - seems like it'd be miserable. I mean, all the people here know me, so imagine what it'd be like to have an even smaller environment! D:
