Hey guys! First time posting here, but im a senior in high school and have just gotten back my ACT scores and it shows me the same as my SAT, high reading scores (34 act, 670 sat), but only slightly above average math scores (24 act, 580 sat) what does this look like to colleges? I also have a weighted gpa of about 3.7 and ive taken 11 AP classes (including 3 im in now) also, what are some of the best colleges id be able to get into with these scores? Thanks so much!
Whst can you afford? Home state? Intended major? Types of schools you are interested in? GPA unweighted and weighted along with EC’s?
Im going to be taking out loans no matter what school i go to so money wont be an issue as long as the education provided is worth it. My intended majors are somewhere along the lines of bioengineering, biomedical engineerinh, environmental engineering, agricultural engineering, etc. My unweighted gpa stinks (2.8) but my weighted is a 3.7, im not sure what ecs are! Thanks
As a student, you can only take out a total of $27K for the 4 years:
$5500 Freshman
$6500 Sophomore
$7500 Junior/Senior
The rest of the loans would be parent plus loans or private loans taken out by your parents, so you really need to check with them how much they are willing to take out in loans or help pay towards your education.
What is your home state?
