Very Strong EC's, Weak Numbers

My situation is pretty unusual. My extra-curriculars are considered to be extremely strong, but my GPA and SAT scores are not too stellar.

Here's my profile:
GPA (W): 4.12
GPA (UW): ~3.7
SAT: 1990
Rank 35/500; My school is not a competitive school, but my year is the most competitive in the school's history.

Researched 4 years.
Selected as a Californian Delegate to a National Science conference twice
Siemens Competition Semi-Finalist (Entering again this year)
Publishing two papers (2nd and 3rd names) in very respectable journals. (PNAS, and possibly Nature or Genes and Development)

Leadership:

Students Advocating Voter Empowerment (SAVE)
Serving as Event Coordinator (Board); this basically means, I work with multiple chapters around the area. It's a regional leadership position.

Yearbook
Serving as Editor in Photography
I handle all the pictures that are to be inserted into the yearbook + I train new photographers. VERY TIME CONSUMING.

Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA)
Serving as President.

Other Organizations:
National Honor Society (NHS)
Environmental Club
Local Youth Group - My friend and I were the major driving force in a project sponsored by the county of Los Angeles.

Basically my research is what's keeping me alive.

Chances on:
UCLA
UCB
UCSD
UCI

and

Stanford
UPenn
Harvard
Johns Hopkins
^all RD.

Your stats are not competitive for the group of private schools. Even though your ECs are good, my guess is JHU is the only possibility on that list.

If the weighted GPA is your UC GPA, you have a shot at UCB and UCLA and should get into the others. Your chances would go way up at the top UCs with another 100 SAT points.
